what are some good organic fertilizers to use on roses, I have never used them before always used chemical fertilizers. Give me the name brand of a few. I am going to try some this year in about half of my roses and see how it goes.
Organic fertilizers are very helpful. They improve soil health. I combine organic and chemical fertilizers. Depending on where you live might determine what is available. Look for any feed and seed stores. You can’t go wrong by starting with one application of alfalfa meal pellets. Espoma Rose Tone, Dr Earth Flower & Rose fert, are some examples. If you are a member of a local rose society, sometimes they have spring fertilizer sales. Mills Magic Mix has been popular, however, the original company has been sold and is in production transition; supposedly it will be manufacturing it again. Take a look at Seven Spring Farms website, they are farm focused and sell many organically based fertilizers. Locally we use Purely Organic formulated by Jim Young out of Gilbert, SC, (Great for orchids too!).
