I moved to Dallas 9 years ago from England and very quickly learned how different gardening here would be. Houston Black clay and the heat nearly beat me.
My father had a beautiful rose garden in England and despite many warnings not to even try roses here I have successfully established all except one of the roses he grew- Kings Ransom. If anyone knows where I might find this rose I would be very grateful. In the meantime I enjoy being a member of the ARS and the Forum, looking out for events to attend and webinars to join so as to further my love of roses.
