I grew roses to sell at my 2 retail fruit market/garden centers for over 40 years. Weeks would always send me some free samples of new varieties with my order to sample, which I would plant on the south side of my house and neglect henceforth. I grew to love roses, and in retirement I help select and care for roses in two local public rose gardens. Growing roses is a life-long learning process, in my experience.
