What is a Title Horror?
Sorry it should be a little horror! I’m talking about the bugs on that rose does do you know what those bugs are?
My neighbor thought it may be June bugs. Does anyone know what they do if they do anything to roses? I don’t really see any damage.
The picture is hard to see, but I have a suspicion they are adult spotted lanternflies. Do they look like this?
INo, they are not.they are fat chubby brown worm like with legs they fly and only seem to come out when it’s dark they don’t seem to be doing any damage. My neighbor say they’re June bugs but I don’t know what that is.
Can you get a picture of one in focus? When I zoomed into your photo the bugs were too fuzzy to identify.
It looks very much like ‘Princess Charlene de Monaco’ to me - the creamy-peach flowers with the pinkish tones and darker center are quite characteristic. That said, several cultivars can look similar, so I wouldn’t say it’s 100% certain from one photo.
From what I can tell, they are one of the larger beetles. You would treat them like any other beetle.
There are Cicadas all over my backyard right now. But the brown ones are just the molted off shell of their former selves lol so no flying etc But i do see random ones before they transform, so might be worth checking out!
