What are you spraying on your roses with this?
I combine a systemic fungicide, such as propiconazole or Myclobutanil with a contact fungicide, like Mancozeb. Sometimes alternating with Thiophanate methyl. Since I spray many rose gardens I will add Azoxystrobin every other week, it works synergistically with the systemic fungicide. I spray every 14 days.
I am trying a new program this year. I am spraying every two weeks with Magic Gardener, which is a fungus that protects roses from black spot and powdery mildew. Of course I have some chemical fungicides available if I feel I need them but trying to protect the good bugs in my garden as well as encourage more of them. This will begin in earnest when I get back from Japan next week
Where did you buy this Mycorrhizal Applications product? It is a new Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain.
I got it from Walt’s Organic Fertilizer in Seattle. I had to call them as it wasn’t on their website. This is a new introduction to retail customers as it has previously been sold only on the commercial industry. I have used it for two months - so good so far - no black spot or mildew. The company producing it has expansion plans for next year to expand availability to retail customers
