I am I love with a rose bush that keeps blooming and I want to buy one for my home but don’t know what it is. It resides in Berkeley, California and has had 2 full flushes of blooms so far this summer. It’s about 4 ft tall maybe 5ft tops.
Would love to guess but you need someone from your area. Colors can change with different climates. It looks like a fun rose.
It may be Peace rose. Maybe get a closer pic? Is it fragrant?
Hi, it is beautiful! Does it have thorns? What type of smell (fruity, citrus, rose?). How old is it?
Someone thought it might be Julia Child. It is beautifully fragrant. It has some thorns. The base is pretty hefty(many older canes. Definitely over 10 years maybe a lot older.
I’m not allowed to post more photos because I just signed up.

Have you ever considered taking cuttings and rooting them in soil? Do a little google research to see how simple this can be. Try several cuttings. If one doesn’t take, maybe another one will!
I have taken cuttings. I have 4 started maybe 1 is taking. I kinda just wanted to know what it is. I guess I’ll assume it’s Julia Child until further notice.

I don’t think it is ‘Julia Child’. Julia is solid yellow and does not have as many pedals as your rose. Sorry I can’t help with the identification. Your many pedaled rose maybe a David Austin rose. Go to the David Austin Roses website and have a look around to possibly find your rose.
I don’t think I have ever. seen Julia Child to have the pink/peach coloring but as someone stated it may be regional/location conditions. I am thinking more like an Austin rose. I like Billie’s idea to try to grow from cuttings but I am hoping that someone from your area may give more ideas on what this is
Hi Diane,
I saw a picture that looks like my neighbors rose called ausgold. I looked up ausgold and it is golden celebration from David Austin many years ago.
I’m thinking it’s probably ausgold. Yes, I got a cutting that is finally rooting. I may also buy a small quart of golden celebration as well and grow them side by side.
The rose I’m desperate to have turns out to not be golden celebration. I have tried so many times to root a cutting from this bush, but 30 cuttings later and 5 months later…..total FAILURE. I will try again this spring with cuttings in water with liquid hormone drops.
If anyone has a little Graham Thomas Rose they are willing to sell and ship to me in the Bay Area of California I would be grateful.
I now have a small Graham Thomas rose and a Julia Child rose . We’ll see if I manage to root a cutting from the loved original.
Please be sure to ask permission to take cuttings from someone else’s property. Also propagation of patented roses may not me allowed. Be careful out there!
Pretty sure when my 2 roses produce flowers, it’ll be obvious if the loved original rose is one of them.
