Mancozeb, Manzate or Dithane are basically the same active ingredient. It is a contact fungicide and is very helpful in controlling blackspot. It is best to premix it in a separate container to ensure it dissolves and not clumps. However, it only persists about 5 days on rose leaves, that is why you should mix it with a systemic fungicide, for example, Myclobutanil, Propiconazole or Tebuconazole. The systemic fungicides are preventative and last 10 to 14 days. Since it has been so dry you should see less black spot, unless you have irrigation that wets your rose leaves. When you water you want the leaves to dry off quickly. Leaves that stay wet for six hours or more create the environmental conditions that will encourage black spot spores to grow.
