My Rose tree is very sick .. help needed

Hi. I’m hoping someone can tell me what is going on with my rose tree. I’m in Southern NM, USA.

My rose tree was planted September 2nd, 2022.

It has been absolutely beautiful .. until this year. It started off great. Lots of buds and lots of flowers.

Then I started to notice withering leaves at the top. Then it started yellowing inside. I thinned it out to allow air and light, but it is not getting any better. No buds, dead wood and yellowing leaves.

Can some look at these pictures and give me any insight you have also what the issue is?

It gets watered with the lawn every three days for about 10 minutes.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

Here are is a picture I took of it today.

How is the root zone. When planted were the roots healthy and not circling the main “trunk.” Do you have any critters that might be disturbing the roots? Also check for mites.

Welcome to the rose forum. Your lawn irrigation may not be enough for your tree rose. It takes a lot of water to translocate up that central rose cane. There should be no turf around the rose. It should be mulched out to the drip line.
Has there been any herbicides applied to the lawn within the last 2 months?

I would recommend that you dig around the rose, down about 6 inches and feel is the soil is wet, damp or dry. You can also help the rose roots and water with SuperThrive and some type of fulvic acid like Senn’s Seaumic, and Maxicrop or other seaweed. I suspect your rose roots are not getting enough water.
