Pierre de St. Cyr bourbon rose care

Hello. New here. I bought and planted a Pierre de St. Cyr bourbon rose this Spring. It’s grown well and has flowered already. I have searched for pruning information and have not found much for this particular rose.

My questions are general pruning and deadheading questions. I have never had a bourbon rose, but from what I gather their growth habit is different than hybrid teas.

Do you deadhead spent roses on this plant or does it interrupt their growth habit like climbing roses?

Do you prune like hybrid tea roses, cutting out dead canes and trimming healthy canes back to around 2 feet high?

I am not a professional in rose care by any means, so all advice is much appreciated.

Hello - I also have this rose, and really enjoy it. I have pruned it like other bourbon roses - in winter, taking out dead/diseased and some of the crossing material (although not too bothered by that) and then shortening by maybe 1/4, with some shaping to fit its space - seems happier with lighter pruning.

This is very late, but thank you so much. I love this rose and want it to do well.
