I have all climbers. Do I prune back the canes in the winter or leave them, given there is no disease of course?
I have thinned the bottom of the plant of small stems and my rose has increased the length of the canes. Is the rest of the pruning proportionate to the length the canes are meant to grow? Do I leave the leaves on them?
This is the first time I have been able to grow roses here in SE Virginia without getting black spot. I’m excited to see what they do in their third year.
