Red spots on rose petals (likely fungus) and how to treat? Thus far, it’s only on 2 of my white roses and 1 of the red. How to treat? We had a lot of rain over and 8 day period and then it became extremely hot (heat advisory for 12 days), directly after in zone 5. My peonies have some type of fungus as well- Botrytis blot, I believe. They all had blooms when planted this spring April/May
The only “treatment” is really keeping water off the petals. Usually, the red spots are water spots. No real “treatment” required. It’s particularly noticeable with light colored to white roses. Some are worse than others.
