I have I have been using Mills magic and Epsom salt as I go to first sign of spring fertilizer. Just last week I received notice that they do not have the supplies to make Mills magic and my order was canceled. My question is what organic fertilizer would you use as your first organic fertilizer of the growing season.
Try Jim Young at Purely Organic in SC. His Purely Organic mix is almost the same as Mills Mix. He ships but it is not cheap by UPS. 803-622-6622, jimyoung1129@gmail.com.
Thank you so much. I have an email out to Jim Young asking him what the NPK is for his organic mix. I also discovered that one of the mixtures for Dr. Earth or organic fertilizer is very close to Mills magic and with the addition of a little bit of blood meal and Epson salt. I think I can be like a little chemist and make a good mixture. But I’m still very interested in Jim Young’s mixture
Are you a member of a local rose society? Many offer fertilizer sales in the spring. Check out any local feed and seed stores. They usually offer an assortment of fertilizers. Dr. Earth has a line of fertilizers and offer a rose & flower one. Espoma Rose Tone is also a possibility.
Yes I do belong to a local rose society! Yes I’ve looked at Dr earth and also rose tone!

I just spoke to Jim Young. He told me the Purely Organic fertilizer formula is 6-6-6.
Thank you for the info Sherry. I think Mills magic is 6-5-1
