Rose Tree Crown Gall

Hello! I had bought an Orchid Romance rose tree at Home Depot about a month ago. I noticed the tree had a lump on the trunk once it was home. I ended taking that one back because it looked a lot like crown gall and bought two more that I thought looked better. They don’t have a big lump like that one, but they each have a couple little bumps on the trunk and one has a smaller lump on the side. Also, the top of the root ball pops out, but it’s not bumpy like other crown gall I’ve seen. This is my first time with rose trees so maybe the roots are just larger on trees than when I buy bare root bushes. I wasn’t sure since they are all the same variety maybe they all have the same problem even if the two new ones don’t look as bad as the returned one. Thank you for your help!

This was the one I had returned.

I’m having trouble viewing your photos, but it looks like some of your lumps are where your rose is grafted. Most tree roses have two graft areas. One between the roots and the long stem or trunk, and at the top where the flowering canes are grafted into the stem.

Thank you so much for your help! They didn’t appear to have a graft there, but I will take a closer look.
