Winter roses - plant or leave in pots?

I’ve in New Hampshire- just purchased two potted roses - do I plant now or leave in pots until spring?

Welcome to the forum Larry. Leaving your new roses in pots is not recommended in your climate, there is a high risk that your rose roots would freeze and be killed. Definitely plant the in the ground and also provide some winter protection after your first hard frost, typically after all the leaves have fallen off the deciduous trees. Contact your closest local rose society for the best recommendations on what to mound on top of the roses for winter protection.
