Zone 7B potted roses New York City now?

I would like to plant two more potted climbing roses in zone 7B /Manhattan.

Is it too late in the season? Will they make it through the winter and have spring blooms?

Please let me know I don’t want to waste time and money if it’s a waste.THANK YOU!

No, it’s not too late! You have until late September to plant. Cold weather is easier on rose bushes than heat.

Hi there! Are you actually in Manhattan? I’m on 38th and Park.

I have a car and I drive out the Heritage on Long Island or I go to the Farm at Green Village in NJ for gardening supplies. But really, I buy my roses bare root online. I’ve been using Breck’s and I’m very happy with them.

The green market in Union Square will have plants.

I have been away from the Forum for a while but I wanted to recommend this ARS Webinar by a very successful container gardener in your city, Jason.
